- Soft tissue surgery including ligament repairs
Bone and soft tissue sarcomas
The Freeman Hospital is a specialist centre for the treatment of bone and soft tissue sarcomas.
This includes diagnosis and management of the condition, including surgery to the upper or lower limbs, and implanting prostheses.
Trauma orthopaedics
Our physiotherapy staff also work with patients who suffer trauma, ranging from single limb fractures to soft tissue injuries.
You will receive care on Ward 22 at the Royal Victoria Infirmary if you have a trauma injury.
Fractured neck of femur unit
If you have a fractured neck of femur, you will receive care from the orthopaedic physiotherapy team after your operation.
We aim to help you to achieve goals for safe discharge to home through a combination of exercise sessions and mobility progression.
Where indicated we will make referral for further rehabilitation in the community to enable patients to regain your previous level of function.
