Managed by a specialist pharmacy team, the Anticoagulant Service monitors patients on warfarin and other oral anticoagulants.
Clinics are held in the outpatient department at both Freeman Hospital and the RVI:

Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings (8:45am – 11:30am)
Royal Victoria Infirmary
Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings (patients are allocated timed appointments).
All patients must be referred by a clinician from the Newcastle Hospitals, another hospital or their GP or using the Northern Network Anticoagulant Referral form.
