The NIHR Patient Recruitment Centre: Newcastle (NIHR PRC) is a research facility which recruits patients and members of the local community to studies focusing on common chronic conditions such as headaches, moderate asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, common skin conditions.
The PRC, run by Newcastle Hospitals, has been specifically established to recruit more patients from local communities to take part in ‘late phase’ (phase 3 or 4) clinical trials. The centre, based at the Campus for Ageing and Vitality is run by a team of NHS staff and research experts.
Patients attending the centre will receive a warm welcome from the team who will talk you through every stage of your appointment.
