Our children’s orthopaedic service cares for children and young people with disorder and injuries to muscles, tendons, joints, bones and nerves.
We aim to provide our children with the best possible orthopaedic care at the Great North Children’s Hospital.

In partnership with the Northern Genetic Service at Newcastle’s Centre for Life, pooling our expertise to deliver clinics for inherited conditions such as skeletal dysplasia.
We also work closely with our bone and soft tissue tumour specialists to make sure that our younger cancer patients benefit from the latest all-round paediatric care.
