A new vaccination can be offered to pregnant women from September 2024 to offer protection for their baby against RSV.
Getting vaccinated as soon as possible from 28 weeks will provide the best protection for your baby. But the vaccine can be given later if needed, including up until you go into labour.
From Monday 9 September our maternity team will run a drop-in vaccination clinic.
Clinic details
The clinic will run from the maternity vaccination hub, in the antenatal department, level 4 Leazes Wing, RVI.
The clinic will run Monday to Friday (not bank holidays) from 9am to 4pm. It is a drop-in clinic so you don’t need to book an appointment.
The vaccine is available from 28 weeks gestation.
