Our birth reflections service is available to anyone who has had a baby at the RVI. The service aims to give you the opportunity to discuss your experience, whilst hoping to provide explanations and reassurances about your care.
We can go through any part of the maternity care you received at the RVI and aim to answer all of your questions. Some people wish to talk about the timeline of their delivery, others want to understand more about decisions that were made. Some women just want to talk about their pregnancy and delivery experience with a health professional. Whatever your reason, an experienced midwife from the Birth Reflections team will offer support and discuss any concerns.
During the appointment the midwife will have full access to your medical notes. Appointments typically last approximately 1-2 hours and are one off sessions. We can signpost and refer you to other services if you feel that would be helpful.
This service is available to you at any point after the birth of a baby at the RVI.
