Specialist nurses
A team of experienced nurses who specialise in the management and treatment of patients with hepatitis C are based in our liver unit. We also have two dedicated liver transplant coordinators who are involved in the care of patients before and after liver transplantation.
Other staff
We work with lots of our clinical experts including:
- dietitians
- social workers
- pharmacists
- research nurses
- fibroscan assistant
Our patients with conditions affecting their liver often need input from other clinical areas. We also work very closely with colleagues in gastroenterology, hepatobiliary surgery and radiology.
Patients are cared for on Ward 4 and the Day Treatment Centre where we carry out daycase procedures and our liver transplant assessment programme.
