The community gynaecology service provides gynaecological advice, support and treatment.
We specialise in
- Perimenopausal and menopausal care and management.
- Non-surgical care of menstrual and premenstrual problems.
- Polycystic ovarian syndrome (excluding fertility issues).
- Premature ovarian insufficiency.
- Complex contraception, including difficult contraceptive implant removals for those living outside Newcastle.
- Adolescent menstrual problems, including amenorrhoea.
The community gynaecology service is now based in main outpatients at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and is run by Dr Kathryn M Clement, consultant gynaecologist.
