#DoYourBit – seek the advice of NHS 111 before
attending A&E
We’re asking you to #DoYourBit and help protect the NHS so we can provide emergency care for those who really need it.
If you need is not life-threatening, please do not come into A&E without first seeking advice first from NHS 111, a pharmacist or your GP before coming to hospital.
Whilst our A&E is always here for those with serious or life-threatening conditions, you can receive appropriate care and advice you need from NHS 111, your GP or pharmacist.
If you are ill or hurt and need help fast, but it is not a 999 emergency:
- Call 111, open 24/7. Your call will be answered by a highly trained operator who will be able to diagnose your symptoms quickly and easily in the convenience and safety of your own home.
