The ear, nose and throat casualty clinic cares for patients who need urgent treatment for problems with their ears, nose or throat.
The service is based at Freeman Hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for emergency GP referrals.

For less severe cases, our specialist nurses can provide you with expert help on:
- allergies
- ear care
- assessing the need for and arranging tonsil surgery.
In addition to this, we have a dedicated paediatric ENT nurse for ENT examinations on children.

How can I be referred into the casualty clinic?
You will be seen in either the emergency department or by your GP. They will refer you for urgent treatment.
