We are an experienced team providing treatment for functional bowel problems such as constipation and faecal incontinence.
The full range of non-surgical and surgical treatments are offered and we work very closely with the urogynaecological team to manage complex pelvic floor problems affecting the bladder and pelvic floor prolapse.
The team is one of the formally recognised national centres for the treatment of complications of pelvic mesh.
There are regular multi-disciplinary team meetings which involve specialists from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead and the University Hospital of North Durham.
