Every child’s experience of living with sensory differences will be different.
Bobby’s Big Day Out is a short illustrated story following the children’s occupational therapy mascot Bobby and his mum as they visit the Great North Children’s Hospital.
It aims to raise awareness of sensory challenges faced by some children and young people when coming into hospital and shows how Bobby uses sensory strategies to have a successful appointment.
How to use this book
Bobby’s Big Day Out uses sensory symbols on each page to show when Bobby might be feeling some of the senses or when he is using sensory strategies.
