There is a non-refundable £50 administrative charge per lost hearing aid for processing, replacing and posting each one.
If you have lost your NHS hearing aid please look for it thoroughly before making a payment as you cannot get a refund.
You do not have to pay for your lost hearing aid if you have one of the following exemptions:
- Under the age of 16
- In full time education
- Hearing aid was stolen (Crime number from Police) Registered as blind Has dementia / or learning disability
- Lost in hospital
- Lost in Care Home
The £50 admin charge is to be made by online payment wherever possible.
There is no additional charge for online payment. If it is not the hearing aid user paying please make sure that the patient’s name and MRN or date of birth are entered.
