Device alarms and troubleshooting
When an alarm condition arises, the alarm is indicated in three ways:
1. Colour LED on the panel: indicates the priority of the active alarm condition.
2. Alarm text in display: displays the name of the active alarm condition.
3. Audible signal: series of beeps.
The audible signal can be paused for 60 seconds by pressing the Audio Pause button.
The most common reasons for an alarm are: circuit leak / disconnection, occlusion, device fault, power interruption.
- Always check the patient’s condition first, then troubleshoot the cause of the alarm.
