Our new outpatient pharmacy – Newcastle Pharmacy Services – will open on Monday 2 December as a subsidiary of the Trust, replacing Lloyds which earlier this year announced it withdrawing from its hospital pharmacy sites.
Opening hours of our existing pharmacies on the RVI and Freeman hospital sites will currently remain the same, although you will notice the Lloyds signage will be replaced by the Newcastle Pharmacy Services logo and staff will be in different uniforms.
- Under the new service, patients should get their medicines within 30 minutes
- Our pharmacy staff will respect and honour your confidentiality at all times
- We will continue to have a medicine delivery service which will be available for some patients – for example, if you have virtual consultations, or if there are other reasons which mean collection from our hospital pharmacies is not appropriate. Your healthcare staff will tell you if you are eligible for this delivery service.
Outstanding prescriptions
In preparation of the change, our outpatient pharmacies will be closed on Saturday 30 November. If you have an outstanding prescription, please try to collect your medicines by midday on Friday 29 November.
