When we hosted our first Celebrating Excellence Awards in 2019, no-one would have guessed that a global pandemic was just around the corner and that the NHS would face one of the toughest periods in its history.
It is remarkable to think that COVID-19 has now been with us over two years. During that time, our team here in Newcastle came together like never before and we will all take those shared experiences with us as we face our next challenges.
In this spirit of moving forwards, it gives us great pleasure to launch our 2022 Awards and finally announce that nominations are once again open!
We hope this going to be a key annual event in the calendar and thanks to the generosity of our sponsors we’re holding a gala awards evening at the Civic Centre on Friday 30 September.
There are 14 awards you can nominate colleagues for and everyone working in the Trust should be eligible for at least one category.
We’re also giving people the opportunity to recognise the huge contribution of our volunteers and fundraisers.
