Ward 36 is divided into a chemotherapy day unit and supportive therapies day unit. The ward cares for people with solid and blood-related (haematological) cancers.
Ward 36 cares for people receiving chemotherapy or supportive treatments respectively.
You will be cared for by several different members of staff including cancer doctors, specialist chemotherapy nurses and other support staff.
Refreshments are available in the day unit if you are able to leave the ward area during your treatment. Please check with your nurse.
For some patients it may be possible to offer scalp cooling during chemotherapy which may reduce hair loss. Please check with your doctor if this is suitable for you.
