Ward 33 provides immediate and long-term cares for patients undergoing investigations or treatment for blood-related (haematological) conditions.
The ward is also the regional centre for bone marrow transplantation. This ward cares for patients at every stage of their transplant.
You will be cared for by a number of different staff, including includes cancer doctors, nurses who administer chemotherapy, support nurses, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and other support staff. You will be supported with aftercare for your treatment including psychosocial support.
The regional centre for haemophilia is also based on ward 33.
Location of ward
Ward 33 is in the Renal Services Centre.
Come through the main entrance of the Northern Centre for Cancer Care and Renal Services. You will find yourself in the main atrium of the centre on Level 2.
Take the stairs up to the next floor so that you are on Level 3. Continue walking forward until you reach some double doors. Alternatively, take the lift up to Level 3 and turn to your right when you come out. Head for the double doors in front of you to the left.
Follow the sign for Ward 33 which is on your left-hand side.
