Ward 11 is the North East’s Regional Burns and Plastic Surgery Centre, the Regional Cleft Lip and Palate Service and our ENT ward.
Our Dressings Treatment Room has a 3D interactive system, to help put children at ease when receiving treatment.
Things you need to know
- There is an open visiting policy on the ward in agreement with the nurse-in-charge.
- Overnight facilities are available.
- Please note that only one parent or relative can stay overnight because of lack of space and safety reasons. However, the ward sister will always discuss any special circumstances with you.
- Hot drinks are only allowed in the parents’ room and not in patient cubicles or patient areas
- We have a large play area and each patient cubicle has its own built-in TV with DVD player.

Monday to Friday 2-4pm and 6-8pm
Saturday and Sunday 2-8pm
