We are proud of our staff
We want you to be the best you can be and are committed to ensuring every member of staff can liberate their potential through high quality education and training.
As an outstanding organisation we continuously invest in developing our workforce and our staff already benefit from a wide range of learning opportunities.
Continuing professional development (CPD) is something that every member of our staff, at every level, can access at any time.
What is CPD?
Keeping your knowledge, competence and skills up to date is really important for both personal and professional development. CPD is the best and easiest way to do this.
Funding is already available through a range of sources such as your department’s training budget and this is used to fund training you already access.
What can I use it for?
CPD funding helps you to develop yourself in a number of ways. Do you want to:
- Learn a new skill or competence
- Progress into a new role
- Gain a qualification or accreditation
- Attend study days, events or conferences
CPD funding can help you achieve these goals and more.
How do I work out what I need?
Your annual appraisal is the perfect time to discuss how you can develop yourself further. Or, you can arrange to have a career conversation at any time.
You and your manager can agree aims and objectives through your Personal Development Plan (PDP) including how to make CPD work for you.
Many of our staff benefit from going on conferences, study days or webinars.
You may develop a new interest or see a course advertised you’d like to explore.
