A key priority for our NMAHPs’ Strategy is to lead the digital healthcare agenda, using technology to improve patient safety, clinical practice and most importantly patient experience.

Our Digital Priorities
- To remain at the forefront of digital transformation recognising the positive impact of technology – how it can enhance our professional practice and the way we deliver patient care
- To empower nurses, midwives and allied health professionals to shape and drive digital transformation through education, leadership and support
- To explore and implement new innovative digital technologies to provide safer effective care for our patients, freeing up time to care and improve patient outcomes
- To embrace how pioneering digital technologies can enrich clinical judgement and decision making supported by real time reporting and
- To explore the use of artificial intelligence and advanced devices to enhance communications, interactive digital collaboration and sharing of knowledge
Who are we?
We are a diverse group of nurses, midwives and allied health professionals or NMAHPs – just like you – with a real passion for digital transformation.
As a team we have a wide breadth of clinical experience from different clinical areas and are driven to ensuring we can get the very best out of our electronic patient record – using digital solutions that are safe, effective and fit for purpose.
We are here to support you and to “bridge the gap” between our clinical workforce and I.T.

What matters to you
We asked what was important to you – you said that you want to be able to do your job efficiently and safely with more time freed up to deliver greater hands-on patient care – to feel supported to adopt new ways of working using technology whilst continuing to use your own clinical judgement.
Many of you also said that you want to find it easier to become an innovator – we will generate a creative culture giving staff the right tools and gain confidence.
We are proud to represent our NMAHP colleagues to make sure all changes made in collaboration with you can enhance patient care, safety and your experience – this is key to ensure as professions we develop in our digital maturity whilst not losing sight of clinical judgement.
