About the conference
The conference is specifically designed for speech and language therapists, laryngologists and vocal rehabilitations coaches who specialise in voice, upper airways and other laryngeal disorders.
We have prepared an exciting programme with international keynote speaker, Walt Fritz, New York, USA. We have also invited nationally renowned UK speakers.
The main theme of the conference is ‘Shared Decision Making’ with topics including manual therapy, models of service delivery, vocal cord palsy, trans voice and the management of benign vocal cord lesions. We will be exploring collaborative working and the shared decision-making model across this range of disorders and treatments.
Conference description
The conference includes formal presentations and workshops; the workshops are more practise-based and will allow for discussion with some of the UK’s leading voice experts. In addition, there will be the opportunity for delegates to present posters and oral presentations on developments within the voice and upper airways caseload.

Situated in the heart of Newcastle’s Quayside, the venue overlooks the River Tyne and is easily accessed via road with car parking onsite. Newcastle hosts excellent transport links, with Gateshead Metro Station and Newcastle Train Station less than one mile from the hotel (8- and 15-minute walk).
