Our first ever discussion forum will take place on Tuesday 27 June between 2pm until 4pm in our newly refurbished Education Centre at the Freeman Hospital. The forum will allow our members to share their experiences of living with a disability when accessing healthcare.
Are you someone who has experience of living with a disability or has an interest in hearing about service developments? If yes, we would like to hear from you!
We will hear from Fardeen Choudhury, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager, regarding some of the current support available within Newcastle Hospitals when accessing our services, and we also hope to hear from you, our members, regarding any suggestions for improvement.

We would like to hear your views on: – What matters to you when you come into hospital? – What has worked well for you when you have had to come to hospital or receive care – What barriers and challenges have you faced when receiving care and coming into hospital? – What suggestions do you have or what improvements would you like to see? – How can we support our staff to further strengthen the care and support we provide to disabled patients?
