Mr Steven Borland is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Victoria Infirmary where he specialises in complex orthopaedic trauma, pelvic and acetabular fractures, post trauma limb reconstruction, deformity correction, and hip and knee arthroplasty.
Mr Borland graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2005 and completed his higher surgical training in the North-East and where he developed an interest in orthopaedic trauma.
He completed the Ilizarov limb reconstruction fellowship in Kurgan, Russia. He then spent a year in Toronto, Canada at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and St Michael’s Hospital gaining experience of complex trauma, pelvis and acetabular (hip socket) injuries and hip and knee replacement.
