Mr Tom Beckingsale is a Consultant Orthopaedic Oncology and Trauma Surgeon specialising in soft-tissue sarcomas, primary bone tumours, metastatic bone disease and orthopaedic trauma.
I graduated from Newcastle Medical School in 2001 and have completed both my junior and senior surgical training in the Northern Deanery, gaining my FRCS in 2011.
I wrote my Masters thesis on ‘Staphylococcus aureus’ and biofilm formation at Durham University, graduating in 2008.
I completed fellowship training in Orthopaedic Oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Canada in 2013 and was appointed as a Consultant in the Newcastle Trust after this.
I am on the executive committee of the British Orthopaedic Oncology Society and am involved in charitable work for Sarcoma UK and the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
