Mr Timothy Patrick Crowley is a consultant plastic surgeon with a special interest in hand and sarcoma surgery.
Mr Crowley graduated from the University of Glasgow medical school with commendation and completed an MSc in Trauma Surgery at Swansea University.
He completed his plastic surgical training in the North East of England rotating through units in Newcastle, Durham and Middlesbrough. He received sub-specialist training in hand, peripheral nerve and microsurgery during an international fellowship at the world-renowned Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia.
Mr Crowley was awarded the prestigious Ian McGregor Medal by the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPRAS) in 2018 for the best performance in the UK plastic surgery exit examination FRCS(Plast), one of only 30 plastic surgeons to ever be awarded this honour.
Mr Crowley is a core member of the North of England Bone and Soft Tissue Tumour Service and cares for adults with bone and soft tissue tumours, including sarcoma. He works within the plastic surgery team to provide the highest level of reconstructive surgery to sarcoma patients.
Mr Crowley provides a comprehensive adult elective and trauma hand surgery service. His particular interests lie in benign and malignant tumours of the upper limb, post-trauma reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery and surgery following brachial plexus injury.
He also works with colleagues to provide abdominal wall reconstruction and lower limb reconstruction services.
