Mr Simon Chambers is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary specialising in foot and ankle surgery, trauma surgery and limb reconstruction (including ring fixators).
Mr Chambers graduated from Newcastle Medical School in 2004. He undertook basic and higher surgical training in the Northeast.
He won a place as an AO International Trauma Fellow in Marseille, France. He then completed a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Finally he spent a year at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia, gaining experience in complex trauma and limb reconstruction.
He won the prize for Best International Paper at AOFAS in 2015 for research work on Ankle Replacements, done at Freeman Hospital.
