Mr Nigel Fox is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the Great North Trauma and Emergency Centre at the Royal Victoria Infirmary where he specialises in advanced paediatric life support and major incident planning. He also holds soft tissue injury clinics.
Mr Fox is a local graduate having completed his MBBS at Newcastle University in 1981 and subsequently gained his FRCS in Edinburgh in 1985. On completion of training he was appointed as an A&E Consultant, originally at Newcastle General Hospital in 1993.
Mr Fox’s non-clinical responsibilities include medical staff rota management and Course Director for Advanced Paediatric Life Support.
