Mr Jason Ramsingh is a Consultant Endocrine and General surgeon who specialises in conditions affecting the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands. He also has a strong interest in surgical education and training and serves as the Royal College of Surgeons of England’s Surgical Tutor.
Mr Ramsingh has been working in Newcastle since April 2019. He completed a fellowship in Endocrine Surgery in Newcastle and was appointed a consultant in 2020. Prior to Newcastle, he completed his surgical training in Glasgow and won several awards and grants.
He is member of the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI), the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons (BAETS), and the European Society of Endocrine Surgeons (ESES). He has a MSc in Surgical Oncology and is a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery.
Special Interests
Mr Ramsingh has a specialty interest in robotic adrenal surgery and has completed an ASGBI and Intuitive Travelling Fellowship in robotics. His other specialist interest include parathyroid and re-operative parathyroid surgery.
He has a strong interest in quality improvement and runs a simulation programme for the management of post operative neck haematoma following thyroidectomy. This is one of only two simulation programmes in the UK.
