Mr James Adams is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon specialising in head and neck surgery, salivary gland disease, maxillofacial trauma, temporomandibular joint surgery and dentoalveolar surgery.
Mr Adams qualified in Dentistry and Medicine from Newcastle University (1995 and 1999) and completed specialist training in oral and maxillofacial surgery in the Northern Deanery in 2008.
He joined the Newcastle Hospitals in 2008 as a consultant and core member of the head and neck cancer multi-disciplinary team at the Freeman Hospital.
His work means he undertakes peripheral clinics in Northumbria on behalf of the Trust and holds clinics in the Newcastle Dental Hospital, RVI and Freeman Hospital (oncology practice).
Mr Adams is the lead trainer for specialist trainees and represents the Trust on the regional STC.
