Mr Dion Arbid is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the RVI’s Great North Trauma and Emergency Centre where he specialises in major trauma, pre-hospital care and medical cover for major events.
Originally from Durham, Mr Arbid qualified from Newcastle University in 2001 and subsequently trained in Accident and Emergency Medicine and pre-hospital care in the Northern Region. He was appointed as an Emergency Medicine Consultant at the RVI’s Major Trauma Centre in January 2012.
Mr Arbid supports the Great North Air Ambulance Service undertaking helicopter emergency medicine work within the region. He also provides medical cover for major music and mass gathering events throughout the North East such as stadium concerts, air shows and the Great North Swim.
