Mr Andrew Browning is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Newcastle Eye Centre, Royal Victoria Infirmary specialising in medical retina conditions including age related macular degeneration and diabetes, retinal genetics, ocular electrophysiology and cataract surgery.
Mr Browning’s early training was undertaken in Southampton while his registrar training took place in Nottingham.
While in Nottingham, Mr Browning carried out research into ocular angiogenesis with particular relevance to age related macular degeneration and diabetes.
He subsequently trained at Moorfields Eye Hospital as a medical retina fellow before joining the team in Newcastle.
