Dr Zdenka Reinhardt is a paediatric congenital and transplant cardiologist and clinical lead for paediatric heart failure and transplantation at the Freeman Hospital’s Children’s Heart Unit where she specialises in congenital cardiology, heart failure, advanced heart failure management, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation.
Dr Reinhardt was appointed as a consultant cardiologist in 2012, and she has been the clinical lead for the paediatric heart transplant service since 2015.
Dr Reinhardt’s interests include heart transplantation, mechanical support for the failing heart and medical education.
She is training program director for paediatric cardiology at Health Education North East and an elected council member of the British Congenital Cardiac Association and International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation
