Dr Vijaya Sathyanarayana is a Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist at Newcastle’s Great North Children’s Hospital specialising in haemodialysis, chronic kidney disease, nephrotic syndrome and foetal medicine.
She also has a special interest in Postgraduate Medical Education.
Dr Sathyanarayana graduated from India and undertook Paediatric training at Oxford deanery. She trained in Paediatric Nephrology at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Manchester and started working as a children’s kidney specialist at the Great North Children’s Hospital in Newcastle in 2017.
Currently the lead for Haemodialysis, Dr Sathyanarayana is also part of foetal medicine team caring for mothers and babies with highly specialised needs.
