Dr Tina Biss is a consultant paediatric haematologist at the Great North Children’s Hospital.
She completed her medical training at Nottingham University in 1997 and completed her training in haematology in the North East of England in 2008. Dr Biss was awarded an MD (Doctor of Medicine) in 2012 for research in paediatric thrombosis and anticoagulation.
Dr Biss has been in post as a consultant since 2011 and her main interest and expertise is in paediatric haemostasis, thrombosis and anticoagulation. She is the paediatric lead for the regional haemophilia/bleeding disorders service. She also provide support for the paediatric haemoglobinopathy and non-malignant haematology service.
