Professor Tim Cheetham is a Consultant Paediatrician at the Great North Children’s Hospital specialising in all childhood endocrinological related conditions. He is also a Senior Lecturer in Paediatric Endocrinology at Newcastle University.
Professor Cheetham’s clinical practice includes paediatric diabetes and endocrinology and his research activity reflects interests in a range of clinical paediatric endocrine topics with a particular interest in thyroid disease.
Roles have included:
- Chair of the Joint Standing Committee for Congenital Hypothyroidism;
- Co-opted member of the BSPED Clinical Trials Unit;
- Associate editor of Archives of Disease in Childhood;
- Medical Advisor to the British Thyroid Foundation
