Dr Rob Holmes graduated from Newcastle University’s Medical School in 1998 and completed specialist training in Radiology in 2007. He was appointed as a Consultant returned to Newcastle in 2009 as a Consultant Gastrointestinal and General Radiologist.
Dr Holmes’s main clinical interests include benign and malignant upper gastrointestinal disease, CT colonography and gastrointestinal ultrasound, along with bowel and contrast ultrasound.
He has a keen interest in medical education and is a clinical and educational supervisor to Specialty Registrars. He has also organised regional and national educational meetings, and is the chair of the national Gastrointestinal FRCR Question Panel for the Royal College of Radiologists.
