Dr Rebecca Hill is a Consultant Paediatric Oncologist at the Great North Children’s Hospital specialising in neuro-oncology, and also a medical research council clinician scientist.
Dr Hill completed her medical training (MB BCh) at the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff, and postgraduate training (MRCPCH) in South Wales and the North East of England.
Following her move to Newcastle upon Tyne in 2007 she completed her training in paediatric oncology while also embarking on her research career.
Dr Hill currently works for both the Great North Children’s Hospital and Newcastle University in her role as a clinical academic.
Her PhD and subsequent research focuses on relapsed medulloblastoma, aligned to her clinical interest in neuro-oncology.
She has additional clinical and research interests in the quality of survival after childhood cancer treatment.
