Dr Rachel Pearson is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Freeman Hospital’s Northern Centre for Cancer Care specialising in urological cancers.
Dr Pearson graduated from Aberdeen University in 2001 and has worked in oncology units in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle.
She was appointed as a Consultant at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care in 2018 having completed Specialist Training in Clinical Oncology at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care. She has a PhD from Newcastle University in Cancer Imaging.
Dr Pearson’s clinical practice involves looking after patients with urological cancers (prostate, kidney, bladder and penile). She is actively involved in clinical trials and have dedicated time to further develop imaging research within the Northern Centre for Cancer Care to personalise care for patients with urological cancers. A well as her clinical role, Dr Pearson holds an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer position at the Northern Institute for Cancer Research at Newcastle University.
