Dr Paula Drummond is a Consultant Paediatrician at the Great North Children’s Hospital and lead consultant for the Children’s Bladder and Bowel service.
Dr Drummond joined the team in October 2002 as a hybrid consultant working both in acute General Paediatrics and Community Paediatrics.
She has been head of the Community Paediatric Department at the Great North Children’s Hospital for six years and set up and runs the children’s bladder and bowel service.
She has an interest in child development particularly FASD (Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) and is the medical advisor to the Newcastle adoption team.
Special interests
Dr Drummonds special interests include bladder and bowel dysfunction and continence problems.
She is the medical advisor for the Newcastle Adoption team sitting on the adoption panel.
