Dr Abu-Harb is an Honorary Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist and formerly a Consultant Neonatal Paediatrician.
He qualified from Damascus University medical school and obtained training in paediatrics in UK hospitals and further sub-speciality training in Paediatric Cardiology both in Leicester and Newcastle.
He has a particular interest in early detection of cardiac anomalies and is involved in teaching and training in fetal cardiac ultrasound.
He has been a member of the fetal medicine team at Newcastle since 2002. He has a fetal cardiac clinic in two hospitals in the northern region and supports the telemedicine service for fetal echocardiograms.
