Dr Josef Kovarik is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist
Dr Josef Kovarik, PhD. is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care, Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne.
Area of sub-specialisation is the non-surgical management of Head and Neck and Skin cancers involving radiotherapy, cytotoxic chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
Prior to his appointment as a Consultant, he completed Clinical Oncology training in Prague, Czech Republic and acted as Head of Clinical Service at the Department of Oncology, Royal Vineyards University Hospital, Prague. He achieved the position of Associated Professor of the Charles University, Prague.
At the Northern Centre for Cancer Care, Dr Kovarik is the Lead of ENT Oncology.
He is an author of a number of publication in international journals, he presented at number of national/international conferences.
