Dr John Leeds is a Consultant Gastroenterologist, Pancreaticobiliary Physician and Endoscopist based at the Freeman Hospital with experience in advanced endoscopy including endoscopic ultrasound (diagnostic and therapeutic), ERCP (including pancreatic therapy, RFA, Spyglass and ampullectomy).
Dr Leeds has extensive expertise in managing pancreaticobiliary diseases including cancer, acute and chronic pancreatitis and is a member of Newcastle’s multidisciplinary pancreaticobiliary team.
He has published over 80 papers, including local and national guidelines, and has an active research portfolio including support from national bodies such as the NIHR.
A member of the Endoscopy Committee for the British Society of Gastroenterology and the Pancreatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
His main areas of interest are advanced EUS/ERCP, exocrine pancreatic disease and endoscopic resection techniques.
