Dr Catlow graduated from the University of Glasgow completing his MBChB in 2010. He moved to the North East in 2012 for his gastroenterology training and never wanted to leave. He was awarded an MD by Newcastle University for his research in colonoscopy quality improvement in 2021.
His clinical interests include endoscopy, colorectal polyps and advanced endoscopy therapeutics, inflammatory bowel disease, and problems of the oesophagus.
He has a special interest in endoscopy training and quality research across the North East. He has developed training and quality improvement tools for endoscopy that have been implemented nationally.
