Dr Gail Jones has been a consultant haematologist at Newcastle Hospitals since 2006. Main clinical practice centres around providing optimal care for patients with acute leukaemia and lymphoma. Dr Jones also sees new patients with more general haematological problems who have been referred from their GP.
Dr Jones has a strong interest in clinical leadership and is an Associate Medical Director at Newcastle Hospitals. Dr Jones works closely with the Northern Cancer Alliance and is a member of national working groups focused on myelodysplastic syndrome and acute myeloid leukaemia. Dr Jones is also member of the British Society for Haematology has published a number of national guidelines on behalf of this group.
