Dr Eleri Williams is a Consultant in Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology at Newcastle’s Great North Children’s Hospital looking after children with unusual and severe infections, primary immune-deficiencies and those undergoing bone marrow transplantation for immunodeficiency.
Dr Williams graduated from Newcastle Medical school in 2002 and trained in Paediatrics since 2004, specialising in Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology in Newcastle. She joined the team at the Great North Children’s Hospital as a Consultant in 2018.
Research
She undertook research into vaccine preventable diseases in children in Nepal (Oxford University 2007) and completed a research degree studying the feasibility and acceptability of integrated screening for congenital CMV (Newcastle University 2014).
