Dr Christopher Gibbins is a Consultant in Acute Medicine and Head of Department at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary specialising in the acutely ill medical patient, ambulatory care and post graduate training.
Dr Gibbins qualified from Newcastle Medical School in 2005 and completed postgraduate training in acute internal medicine, general internal medicine and intensive care medicine in the Northern Deanery.
He was appointed as a Consultant Physician at the RVI in 2015 and is currently Head of Department for Acute Medicine.
Dr Gibbins has an interest in undergraduate and postgraduate training and is the regional training programme director for acute internal medicine for Health Education North East and associate clinical lecturer at the Newcastle University Tyne Base Unit.
