We have adopted the greenhouse protocol hybrid approach to reporting carbon emissions associated with our purchased goods and services. Our most recent Shine annual report shows that 40% of our spend is with suppliers whose carbon data is measured and reported via the SmartCarbon platform, leaving 60% of spend linked to estimated emissions.
We aim to improve our confidence in our reported performance by tipping the balance in favour of measured and reported supplier emissions.
Suppliers have three options to report organisational performance: free report only, free SmartCarbon lite and discounted full account reporting.
