Wendy joined the trust in January 2025, after a 35 year career in the health, social care and charitable sectors.
She brings extensive board and leadership experience from director roles within the Department of Health and Social Care, the NHS, and as a former trustee of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Wendy has a particular interest in building partnerships and bringing sectors together to integrate health and care services. She has worked with NHS providers, the Ministry of Defence and local government on large scale transformation programmes across the North East and Yorkshire, with a focus on improving access and reducing health inequalities.
Wendy is a lifelong resident of Newcastle and Gateshead and sits as a magistrate in the area.
