Dr Simon Meggitt is a consultant medical dermatologist who specialises in complex inflammatory skin diseases at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary.
The complex skin diseases Dr Meggitt specialises in include severe atopic eczema, connective tissue disease, severe hidradenitis suppurativa and skin sarcoid.
Dr Meggitt was awarded an MD with distinction (Azathioprine for atopic eczema, 2006) and British Skin Foundation best researcher prize in 2008.
Other roles include:

- Treasurer of local skin research charity (North Eastern Skin Research Fund – NESRF)
